A global manufacturing group has a new vacancy for a UK IT Manager to join the team. Candidates are sought with experience working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for all aspects of IT activities including providing UK support, infrastructure and general IT activities including upgrades and developing the company IT strategy.

 

 

Commutable from: Northampton, Daventry, Lutterworth, Wellingborough, Milton Keynes, Towcester.

Salary: £ 50,000 - £60,000 p.a. company car (or allowance) benefits

Suitable for: IT Manager, ICT Manager, IT Director.

 

 

The Role

· The IT Manager will be Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of Organisational IT systems.

· Overseeing the development and enhancement of systems and integrating new systems.

· Managing IT staff, with responsibility for hiring, evaluation, training, guidance, disciplinary procedures, and dismissals.

· Keeping up to date with the most recent technologies

· Negotiating with suppliers of hardware and software to get the best deal, including external support, and being responsible for making service agreements.

· Ability to manage and plan multiple ERP implementations

· Ensure projects are completed within agreed timescales and to agreed specification.

· Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.

· Manage departmental budget and tracks spending on equipment and staff.

 

 

The Person

· Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong experience in IT service desk environment with customer facing support and hands-on diagnostic / troubleshooting.

· Experience with design deployment and testing of network infrastructures.

· Expert knowledge of Microsoft platforms including but not limited to Windows, Office 365 etc.

· Thorough understanding of modern technological advancements.

· Mentoring and People management skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to manage and implement projects from inception to completion.
